May marks the 102nd anniversary of SPANNINGA. In 1918, Hotso Spanninga started a precious metal forging company in The Netherlands. In 2020, it has developed into a solid international company, creating lighting solutions for micromobility worldwide.

In this whole time, many challenges have arisen, including wars or economic crises. And today again, the world finds itself in a difficult situation. But in this time of Covid-19 sanitary crisis, we see that people are turning to each other again, taking more care of each other, focusing on their local surroundings and discovering the joy of cycling again.

“The fact that people rediscovered the joy of cycling again, is a very nice development in a difficult time. Next to pleasure, the bike also contributes in other ways to our daily well-being. For example in reducing traffic jams and crowds in public transportation, which decreases the risk of spreading the Covid-19 virus. So let’s focus on the positive, and raise our glasses for a toast – while taking enough distance –  to thank all our relations, employees and customers for their efforts during this turmoil and for their support during the past year. We hope to see all of you live again for our next anniversary, safe and sound. Hopefully by then in a world which is free from this virus.
